Which one do you need?
Two steps, in order. The pitch calculator turns a rise and a run into the slope factor, which is the number that converts a footprint into actual roof area; it is exact trigonometry and assumes nothing. The roofing calculator then takes either the roof area you measured directly or the footprint plus that pitch, and gives you roofing squares and bundles. Measure the roof directly for anything with hips, valleys or dormers: the footprint route assumes a simple gable and cannot see the extra area.
